Product Launches are SOOO

June 1, 2007

If you’re reading this, then you found my new blog… and you probably have some idea what Konamoxt is, and maybe a little bit about how we got here.

If not, then please read this: “Welcome To Konamoxt”

As with any product launch there are bound to be a few glitches, and late last night after we “turned everything on” we got our first dose of those hitches. I guess I’m glad that we have so many friends in the UK as they were able to run into problems and tell us about them before the real flood hit in the US.

Today, being launch day, is one of those classic days of mixed up emotions… excitement over the new product finally being available, concern/caution over what problems might pop up, joy and pride in seeing peoples reactions to the product, etc.

My blog posting has been pretty sporadic the last couple weeks, now you know why… “Crunch time”… Over the next couple weeks, I’m sure we’ll still be in that crunch mode, but now I have to blog… it IS my job.

If you’ve been a reader of our blogs, then you’ve been in our thoughts as we built this product. Thanks again to all of you who’ve helped inspire us to get this far.

Wow! Where have I been?

May 29, 2007

I know, this has been my longest stretch without any posting since I started this blog back in November. I am so sorry if any of you have come by looking for updates and found none. I’ve been so busy with work, and life, and training, that the blogging (here) sort of fell off. I’ve actually had more posts to my WordPress Development blog about bug fixes and plugins and things like that… which is really surprising to me because this is supposed to be my main blog.

Anyway, I’ve been keeping my fitness up, and things are actually all ok with my Father in law… and my wife is back home and now we’re in the thick of birthday season around my house. My wife, and I, and both my daughters are all Gemini’s (as well as my Dad and my Sister), anyway this time of year is just crazy busy.

I have a couple of half-written posts from some past fitness activity that I’ll try to get published today… so if you see some “posts from the past” all of a sudden show up. Don’t be surprised. ;)

By the way, special congrats to John on his Half Marathon run. He’s worked hard to get to this point, and he deserves a big round of kudos!

Week 13 Report

April 1, 2007

Week 13 - Distribution of Workouts

I’m back! After a good week of rest and recovery (which still meant 9 hours of exercise), I am feeling rested and eager to get out and train and blog about training again. I didn’t necessarily intend to take a rest week from blogging, but it just worked out that way. Of course, I kept thinking about things to blog about, and in fact, today I even did some “filming” of my long run, I am going to attempt to put together a little video blog entry for later this week. In the mean time here is my Week 13 training report.

I decided to just let my exercise happen this week. I didn’t plan anything, except my long run today, and the 8.5 hour goal from the annual plan. I figured that if I had a go with the flow attitude about what, when, and how to exercise, that I’d get more of a mental rest and recovery and that would be just as good for me as a physical recovery. I thought I might try out a couple of new experiments (like running at a new track near my house) and possibly working on some fitness tests ideas and also paying closer attention to what I was eating. In the end, none of these “projects” worked out, and they will be good fodder for blog posts later this week. But I did succeed in getting a good recovery week in before the final 3 big weeks of “Base” (13.8, 16, and 18 hours).
